Following the announcement late last year around the evolution of Force Protection, it is clear that a number of our members and the Veteran world generally don’t quite understand what is going on, mainly because there are words used in todays Corps that mean nothing to us.
On Monday 28 November 2022, the RAF Force Protection Force and Support Forces evolved into the Global Enablement Organisation, part of Number2 Group. As part of the evolution the RAF Force Protection Force has split into two distinct Forces, the Air Security Force and the Combat and Readiness Force.

This slide deck has been put together with the aim of trying to explain the evolution to help others understand what it means to both the RASF and the RAF Regiment. However, as ever with all these things there is a level of sensitivity around what can be said; the slides used some of the Corps Warrant Officers communications to the RAF Regiment Association. The Corps Warant Officer has reviewed the slides and is happy for this to be communicated to our members as all the information is in one way shape or form out in the public domain anyway.
