As 2012 draws to a close, I would like to take this opportunity to extend my most sincere thanks to everyone who has contributed to our shared success over the past 12 months.
In my view, this has been an enormously challenging year for everyone in the RAF Regiment and wider FP Force. There have been some good times and some tragedies, but overall we have delivered exceptional results. So whatever your Branch or Trade – Regular, Reservist, Veteran, or Civil Servant, Contractor, family or friends, I would like to thank you for your outstanding dedication over the past year. I am tremendously proud of all we have achieved together and you should be proud of yourselves!
People are the decisive edge in everything that we do and without you we are nothing. The Force has achieved a great deal this year and our success is down to the courage, selflessness, energy and professionalism of every single person involved. Next year will doubtlessly present us with more challenges but I know that together we will prevail.
In closing, I would simply wish you all a Very Merry Christmas and a Hugely Happy New Year!
