The Corps policy of recording the deaths of as many of its ex members as possible remains the same.  Notification of death to the Regiment Secretary will ensure that as much information as possible is passed on to as many people as possible.  This will include date, time and location of the funeral and instructions for flowers / contributions.  Where possible a serving Corps member may attend and , if a member of the RAF Regiment Association, branch standards (and National Standard in approved exceptional cases) can be paraded.  Normally, the CG will also write to the NOK.  It is, however, the common case, that information is fragmentary and as a consequence an opportunity is lost for the Corps to show its respect for those who have served.  The Corps Death Notice, CDN is downloadable from the RAF Regiment Association web site www.rafregt.org.uk or can be obtained from the Regiment Secretary.  It should be filled in with as much information as possible but with the minimum being name address DTG and location of funeral.  It should be sent to Regt Secretary as soon as this bare minimum is complete.

For Association members, completion of CDN will fall to the Branch Officials, who may or may not liaise with the Membership Secretary to get further information.  Due to the incompleteness of information on some categories of membership, it will fall upon Branch Officers to supply information on their Branch members, as defined in Articles and SOPs.  Such information is required to be reviewed annually and review forms are available from Membership Secretary.  Reviews are to be completed for 2015 by 30th of April.
