Air Commodore Andrew (Andy) Hall MBE MA RAF, Air Officer Force Protection, RAF Force Protection Force Commander and Commandant General RAF Regiment attended the Corps’ Annual Commemoration at the National Memorial Arboretum in Alrewas.
Mr Jeff Stevenson, Chairman RAF Regiment Association and Warrant Officer Simon Rowlands, Chairman WOs and SNCOs Association were also in attendance. On parade were the Queen’s Colour of the RAF Regiment and the National Standard of the RAF Regiment Association.
The Commandant General in his address, underpinned the value of the “Regiment Family”. He pointed out that one past member of the Corps attending had served in Salalah, and it was poignant that Trainee Gunners from Salalah Flight were participating in the Commemoration showing a tangible link to the Regiment’s past.
Over 100 members and families together with many visitors to the NMA attended the RAF Regiment Memorial Garden for the
Commemoration Service which was conducted by The Reverend (Sqn Ldr) Colin Weir BTh RAF, Station Chaplain, RAF Cosford.
