Commandant General’s Commendations 2015

The need was identified in 2008 for the CG RAF Regt to be able to recognize the efforts of Corps individuals or teams within the RAF Regiment family, for example those of the RAF Regt Assoc, who may fall outside of the conventional Service Commanders’ Commendations associated with the New Year’s and The Queen’s Birthday Honours Lists; as such, serving personnel were not eligible for consideration in the first few years. However, from 2013, serving RAF Regt and support personnel will be eligible for the Award. Team awards are also considered. The period covered by the Awards will be from 1 Aug to 31 Jul annually, and the completed nominations for the Award Year 2014-15 must be received between 1 Aug and 1 Sep 15. All nominations must be initiated by a suitable Sponsor and supported by one other individual. Sponsors or supporting signatories may not be related to the nominated individual. In the case of a RAF Regt Assoc nomination, one of the signatories must be a National or Branch executive, while Service nominees must be sponsored or supported at OF-4 level or above, and come through the respective chain of command. All nominations must be submitted using the official Nomination Form, which is available from the Regtl Sec. However, they should not be submitted before 1 Aug 15. [CPeN 367]
