HRH Prince Harry formally opened the 86th Royal British Legion Field of Remembrance at Westminster Abbey. Nearly 450 remembrance plots dedicated to various veterans’ organisations and campaigns, were implanted with around 100,000 small crosses remembering the fallen service personnel from all past conflicts.
A short Commemoration service was lead by the Dean of the Abbey which included a single symbolic cross being implanted by the Royal Prince. The Last Post and the observance of 2 minute silence concluded the service. Over thousand veterans and their families attended the event. Prince Harry, took time to meet and shake hands with many, much to the delight of the attendees.
