SOCIAL AND COMMUNICATION:
Branch Social Activities: The Branch Battle of Brirain Church Service will be held on the 12th September at 10.45hrs in St Annes Church Catterick Village. The Branch Standard will be paraded and a Poppy Wreath will be hung on the wall in the RAF Regt Chapel.
The Branch Christmas Celebrations will take place in the Cleveland Room of The Cleveland Bridge Social Club situated on the Neasham Road, Darlington on Saturday 11th December. The Branch will incur no costs for the use of the room. The Buffet has been selected and it was decided at the last Branch meeting, that the Buffet costing £6.50 per head was best suited for our needs and a deposit of £50 has been paid towards the cost of the Buffet. If you wish to attended, then names need to be submitted to myself by the 17th November by contacting me on email: alan.parkes@hotmail.com Branch members are encouraged to attend and invite others to attend this "Prestigious Gathering" !!! A Mini Bus will be provided to convey those members and thier guests from Catterick to the function and return them home.
The Branch Social meeting takes place the third Wednesday of each month in Catterick Village Club at 19.30hrs local, not ZULU, we are retired and we do not do Zulus anymore. Branch Social Gatherings are every other month, for example, August was an "Official Meeting", September will be a "Social Gathering" etc etc.
The next Official Branch Meeting will take place on Wednesday 20th October at 19.30hrs.
As your Branch Secretary, I am keen to get Branch Members E Mail addresses as soon as poossible. This will enable me to communicate with you all better and give you access to "Corps Parish Notice's" (CPNs) and keep you abreast of what is happening in the wider RAF Regt Association.
